When I first met Dr Ke I was suffering from a major bile leak into a drain due to complications from the surgery I had had. Dr Ke said that I would begin to feel better after two weeks of taking the herbs, I was highly sceptical.

But within two weeks, the leak was nearly dried up and within a month the drain was removed. I stick to a strict diet and take my herbs daily, and feel better and better all the time.

I have been seeing Dr Ke for many years. He has cured myself and my children of various illnesses.

Recently, my son became very ill after having his tonsils out; and Dr Deng at the Asante practice gave him herbs that cured the throat infection (post operation) which had caused bleeding, and days of having a temperature.

A very understanding, helpful, listening to my myriad of symptoms taken seriously (unlike mainstream medical profession). Medicines given initially made me feel worse for 1-2 weeks, then energy, muscle fatigue, aches, and other symptoms improved.

I have been seeing Dr ke and taking (same basic) medicines for several years with steady improvement such that my daily life is restored to being able to work – I retrained as a counsellor which is less physically demanding than nursing (previous career) – and able to exercise at the gym 3x a week.

Learning looks like it it is easy, but remember it is not easy; A Tse (2015) suggests that practicing the cooking of herbs and acupuncture on oneself makes it easier to remember.

Hope I will service patients in future, to help our clients and introduce Asante Academy to promote TCM.

I suffered from severe diarrhoea for about six weeks and due to this was very weak and dehydrated. I went to the Asante clinic and was first seen by Dr Ke and later by Dr Gu.

After about two days my diarrhoea improved and in one week had cleared up. My weight, that I had lost during my illness, started to improve and my strength has started to return and I am starting to feel like my old self again. Thanks to Dr Ke and Dr Gu.

I have fybromyalgia + severe joint hyper mobility. I am always in constant pain. I have tried everything to alleviate the pain. The acupuncture with Gulshan is the only treatment that has not just alleviated the pain, but made it disappear. The 12 magic points are a miracle. After 1 treatment I was able to move freelyfor a week. I have had treatment for 1 year. I do not get pain anymore to the level as before. The dizziness, fatigue + excruciating muscle pain has gone. I had TMJ problem which was a real pain with a great difficulty in eating daily meals. After a few attpemts to see GP’s wit hno real help, I decided to see a doctor in Asante thanks to my friend’s recommendation. I received acupuncture once a week for four weeks. I have found this treatment very helpful for pain management, and I haven’t had to take as many painkillers during this time.
