Our 14-Day Course in Tuina Massage is a unique tuina massage training course entirely based on Chinese medical theory. It isuitable for qualified acupuncturists and herbalists, as well as students.
Other bodywork therapists such as Shiatsu practitioners, chiropractors and physiotherapists, will find this Chinese skills of massage extremely helpful to their practices.
This ancient Chinese healing art is quite different from other forms of massage. It uses finger pressure, stretching and leverage to stimulate the channels and acupuncture points.
Tuina is often used in conjunction with acupuncture and is an effective treatment for musculo-skeletal problems. It is used to treat lower-back pain, frozen shoulder, slipped discs as well as fractures. Tuina can also be effective for many other conditions, for example digestive problems and insomnia.
In addition, Tuina is effective for stress relief and relaxation. Additionally it can stimulate the body’s organs via special points, helping to prevent illness and improve both mental and physical vitality.
Professional Certificated Tuina Massage Training
Our 14-Day Course in Tuina Massage offers a complete course in Tuina Massage Training. Trainees will acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to practice this valuable therapy safely and effectively on adults and children.
The tuina massage training course will provide the participants with an opportunity to study the basic theories underpinning Tuina therapy and to learn and practice more than 20 different Tuina manipulation techniques.
Tuina Massage Training Syllabus
The use of the basic Tuina techniques, which constitute the core syllabus of the whole course, will be explored comprehensively in the class. The practice of these techniques after the classes will be encouraged.
The following topics are covered:
- Basic theory of Tuina therapy
- Commonly used manipulation techniques
- Revision of acupuncture theory and important acupoints (where applicable)
- Tuina treatment for some commonly encountered clinical conditions
- Prevention of potential adverse effects of Tuina
- Tuina treatment for children
- Exercises for Tuina therapists
Course Fee
Course fees are £1820 (£130 per day).
A 10% deposit is payable in advance. Payment can be made in installments.
Course Structure
Teaching for the 14-Day Course in Tuina Massage is on a one to one basis, however, it is also possible to organise group bookings for 3 or more people. For group bookings, we are able to offer a discounted rate on course fees. Please contact the clinic directly for more information. This course is run throughout the year. Start dates are flexible and can be arranged between the student(s) and teaching doctor(s).
Qualification
On successful completion of the course and examination, you will be awarded the Asante Certificate in Chinese Tuina Massage.
Accreditation, Professional Body Membership & Insurance
Our 14-Day Course in Tuina Massage course is fully accredited by the Acupuncture Society. Upon enrolling on this course, all students are required to register with the Acupuncture Society as a student member. There is no charge for this. All students will be required to obtain Student Insurance from either Holistic Insurance Services or Balens.
Upon successful completion of this course, all graduates will be able register as a full member of the Acupuncture society for a cost of £100 per year.
Student insurance can be upgraded to full practice insurance cover upon graduation. Cost will vary depending on which insurance provider being used.
