The Huangdi Neijing, or Yellow Emperor’s Canon of Internal Medicine is the fundamental source text for the theoretical study of Chinese Medicine. It has been continuously used for over 2000 years. It is comprised of two books, Su Wen (Plain Questions) and the Ling Shu (Spiritual Pivot). Each contains 81 chapters.

The Su Wen discusses the theoretical foundations of Chinese Medicine and diagnostic procedures. The Ling Shu discusses in detail the ideas of acupuncture.
