Chinese Name: Xi Gua.
Nature and Flavour: Sweet in flavour and cold in nature.

Properties and Functions: It can clear Heat, relieve restlessness, thirst, and also resolve fluid accumulation and oedema by promoting diuresis. This diuretic property also means it is able to help with immune disorders such as eczema and lupus.
Indications: Clinically, it can be used for restlessness, fever and thirst caused by Summer-Heat, consumption of body fluids due to excess Heat as well as difficult urination and pharyngitis.
Directions: It can be eaten directly, or made into a juice.
