Learn a unique approach to using Chinese Medicine for Musculoskeletal Pain with Mr. Song.
The combination of precise acupuncture needling, cupping, Tuina massage, exercise and patient education plays a fundamental role in achieving the most effective results. This is the strategy of using Chinese Medicine for Musculoskeletal Pain management.
These hands-on rolling courses will focus on Mr. Song’s practical approach to the most commonly seen conditions in everyday clinic practice. You will quickly grasp and be able to apply Mr. Song’s skills in your daily practice after taking these courses.
These course can be taken individually or in sequence depending upon what you wish to learn. There are 9, one day courses in total. They will be held on the 1st Sunday of every month commencing in March 2020.
Mr. Song will explain the features of musculoskeletal pain, and guide you to the most efficient treatment strategy and plan.
- The focus will be on the method of diagnosis in general, and in particular the accurate anatomical diagnosis of musculoskeletal pain and pinpointing of the actual tissue damage causing the pain. This is a brilliant strategy to achieve the best clinical result in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.
- Mr. Song will also explain his unique view of the best body positioning when treating pain, choosing acupuncture points and needling techniques.
- Management of musculoskeletal pain will be taught by Song as a combination of Tuina massage, cupping, acupuncture, exercise and patient education.
- Dper emonstrations of the treatment strategy will be organised during the practical workshops.

Day 2: Sunday 5th April 2020 – Searching Ashi points (Trigger points, Reactive points) and their needling techniques.
Day 3: Sunday 3rd May 2020 – Management of Neck Pain.
Day 4: Sunday 7th June 2020 – Management of Knee pain.
Day 5: Sunday 5th July 2020 – Management of Sciatic pain.
Day 6: Sunday 2nd August 2020 – Management of musculoskeletal pain with Traditional Chinese exercise (Tai Chi & Qi Gong).
Day 7: Sunday 6th September 2020 – Management of headaches & migraines.
Day 8: Sunday 4th October 2020 – Management of Lower Back pain.
Day 9: Sunday 1st November 2020 – Holism, Meridian theory and chronic musculoskeletal pain.

About your tutor:
Mr. Yunqin Song (MSc TCM, MATCM, MWFCMS) has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 20 years. He has experience in China as a physician, focusing on orthopaedic and peripheral vascular surgery. His mastery and knowledge of biomechanics as a Tai-Chi instructor rounds up into a new system of understanding musculoskeletal conditions.
He has been successfully treating uncommon and difficult diseases using Acupuncture and Tuina Massage for over 20 years and has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions and pain management.
Mr. Song is currently teaching and practicing at the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine.
