Milk is sweet and salty and warm/hot in nature. Milk is excellent for babies and toddlers, but for adults it is not so suitable. Milk tonifies deficiency and can benefit the spleen and kidney in a healthy body. Milk is quite energising and sutable for combating low energy and is also of course a very good source of calcium in a healthy body. However a weakened body will not be able to absorb the calcium so well and then milk is more of a toxin. Unfortunately milk is very phlegm producing and in a weakened body can cause alllergies and dampness. This can lead to chronic conditions such as constipation or diarrohea, IBS, over-active immune system syndromes such as diabetes, cancer, lupus etc and people with these conditons should avoid milk.
