BBC’s World Service came to Asante in 2008 to interview Professor Ke about Chinese Herbal Medicine. Specifically focusing on its relationship with the Modern Pharmaceutical industry.
Reporter Rebecca Marston from the World Service’s Business Programme quizzed Professor Ke about various herbs. Particular interest was paid to the ways in which they were used and processed.
She also asked for his views on how the demand for Chinese Medicine has grown over recent years and what he thought of the fact that big drug companies were buying into centuries old traditions that they seemed to have previously rejected quite firmly. The interview was part of a program broadcast in 2009.
