For angina: add one ounce of chives and five ounces of rice to two pints of water. Bring to the boil, simmer for one hour and drink the soup once or twice a day.

For high cholesterol and high blood pressure: lotus leaf tea.

For a weak heart: put two ounces of sliced or cubed chicken, ½ ounce of ginseng and ¾ ounce of lily root in a container with half a pint of water and steam container for two hours. Drink water and eat chicken.
