Chocolate is sweet and warm in nature. Chocolate promotes energy and spirit. Chocolate should be avoided by people suffering from diabetes, insomnia,obesity and heat-type syndromes. Also chocolate as it is very sweet it produces a lot of damp-heat in the body. If eaten too much, chocolate can cause overproduction of phlegm in the body. Stressed people often eat chocolate for comfort but this will make the condition worse in the long term because the build up of phlegm in the body will in the long term produce tumours.
